RTD has applied the fruits of its research and development and manufacturing technology to new products for other aspects of restorative dentistry. FRC products are made from the same material, with the same mechanical properties, as our award-winning DT Light-Post and Macro-Lock posts. Our FRC pontics are machined for use as reinforcing suspension bars for laboratory-processed composite bridges. Like our posts, the pontic products offer high Flexural Strength (1600 MPa), high Interlaminate Shear Strength (65 – 75 MPa), and superior fatigue resistance. They are translucent, radiopaque and have a micro-retentive surface for good attachment to the composite.
